Derek Bell To Be Reunited With 1975 Winning Gulf GR8
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Gulf winning the Le Mans 24 Hours in a car of its own name and also, of course, the first of Derek Bell’s five victories in the world’s greatest endurance race. To celebrate the occasion, Derek and the car he and Jacky Ickx drove to victory will be reunited on Thursday, June 11 at the famous Hotel de France, in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir – where John Wyer and the Gulf team stayed during their Le Mans campaigns. Le Mans 2015 Test Day Re-cap
Test day took place with the race just over two weeks out, and it proved that the day-long race will be nothing short of exciting . The No. 17 Porsche topped field with a staggering 3:21.061 byBrendon Hartley - almost a second quicker than last year's pole lap from the Toyota.
