Three thrilling races produced three different winners on the opening weekend of the year and it is something that we’ll be looking to expect yet again at the undulating Leicestershire circuit. Jack Goff, Senna Proctor and Tom Ingram were all winners last time out and will be once again in the hunt.

The opening weekend also showed how competitive the BTCC has truly become after the top ten championship positions showed ten different manufacturers and the top 30 cars qualified within a second of Jack Goff’s pole position time.
Donington Park is a driver and fan favourite and has played host to many memorable BTCC races down the years. For 2018, new ownership from Motorsport Vision has seen the circuit and its facilities go under huge improvements to make sure the spectators get an even better experience.
The circuit always sees strong crowd numbers come through its gates and this weekend should be no different as the tin top circus comes to town.
Championship leader Tom Ingram will be looking to cement an even bigger lead at the top of the championship standings from the chasing pack. That chasing pack will include the likes of Jack Goff, Adam Morgan, Rob Austin and defending champion Ash Sutton, who have all gone well at Donington in previous years.

Local boys Matt Neal and Andrew Jordan will be looking to put on a show for the home crowd and sponsors and young chargers Jack Hill, Senna Proctor and Aiden Moffat will be looking to repeat their Brands Hatch heroics this weekend.
The Donington weekend is always an interesting one so lets see who comes out on top come Sunday.
