Charlie wants HIS title back in 2017

So Charlie what are your plans for 2017?

"That's easy, my sole focus and the only plan I'm thinking of is how to win back the MINI CHALLENGE JCW Class Championship.... Last year was such a crazy season with my big accident and then the crazy final 2 races at Snetterton, one of which had to be shortened and the other cancelled completely due to fog. I really do believe I would of clinched the title again last year (Charlie was crowned 2015 Champion) if it hadn't been for the fog but that's motorsport... FULL of 'What If's and Maybe's'!

Looking to 2017 again, there are several new drivers in this year's JCW Class so the competition is going to be tougher than ever... Of course these youngsters have no fear on track, and they certainly aren't afraid to 'launch one up the inside' given half a chance so it promises to be a lively season with I'm guessing a few controversial moments along the way! My plan therefore is simple...to attack hard from the outset but to avoid throwing away points with unnecessary and silly errors, wrap up the title and then bow out of the series on a high!!

For 2018 I am looking to progress into GT or Endurance Racing....I've always wanted to race something big and nasty with lots of cylinders and plenty of good old fashioned grunt!! I reckon I've got another 5 years of top quality racing in me and I intend to take full advantage of the opportunities available in the UK but also in Europe. The German GT Masters series for example looks tempting but that's for the future, right now it's all about winning back 'MY' title for 2017".
