Doriane Pin enters F1 Academy with PREMA for 2024
PREMA Racing is proud to announce that young French sensation Doriane Pin will compete with the team in the 2024 F1 Academy series, joining the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team Junior Programme.
Born in 2004, Pin started karting in 2013 and became French karting champion in 2019, before making the step to touring car racing. With the support of the Iron Dames programme, she then achieved remarkable accomplishments in GT competitions, including winning the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli title and taking class wins in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and ELMS.
The 20-year-old racer joined PREMA for the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship, securing a podium finish in the LMP2 class at Sebring and winning the Revelation of the Year award.
She recently competed in Formula 4 South East Asia, ending up second in the Driver Championship with one win and multiple podium finishes to her credit, and claiming the Rookie Cup title in the process. As a preparation for the upcoming series, she is also entering Formula 4 UAE and just took part in the season opener at Abu Dhabi.
Pin will join the seven-round F1 Academy series for its March opener at Jeddah Corniche Circuit, and will then race in Miami, Barcelona, Zandvoort, Singapore, and Qatar before sealing off the season in Abu Dhabi.
“I am incredibly happy to join the Mercedes-AMG F1 Team Junior Programme and represent Mercedes in the PREMA Team for F1 Academy this year. A new chapter begins, and I am proud to make this next step in such a prestigious team and with the Iron Dames project. I am grateful for their trust and honored to race for their colors. Moving into single seater was a clear objective for my career, and to be in this environment is a great approach. I am working very hard to reach the top level of this sport and I cannot wait to go racing.”
