The 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans will see a 62-car grid take to Circuit de la Sarthe on June 14-15, featuring a strong 21-car Hypercar field. While slightly down from last year’s 23 entries (no Vanwall, Isotta Fraschini and Lamborghini's), the top class welcomes a new challenger in the Aston Martin Valkyrie, which will make its debut with Heart of Racing.

Cadillac expands presence with four Hypercars

One of the key stories in the Hypercar category is Cadillac’s expanded presence, fielding four V-Series.R prototypes for the first time at Le Mans. This includes a pair of entries from Hertz Team JOTA alongside Wayne Taylor Racing’s first-ever Le Mans appearance and a return for Action Express Racing. The WTR squad will feature Jordan and Ricky Taylor sharing a car at Le Mans for the first time, alongside Filipe Albuquerque.

Elsewhere in the Hypercar ranks, Porsche has also secured four entries, with two factory Porsche Penske Motorsport 963s joined by a customer effort from Proton Competition and an IMSA-invited car for Rolex 24 winners Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy. Ferrari, meanwhile, brings three 499Ps, including the privateer AF Corse entry, while Toyota, Peugeot, Alpine, BMW, and Aston Martin all return with two-car efforts.

LMP2 grid sees growth with Pro/Am focus

The LMP2 category expands to 17 cars, split between eight standard LMP2 entries and nine Pro/Am teams. The class features multiple two-car squads, including Proton Competition, United Autosports, Algarve Pro Racing, Inter Europol Competition, IDEC Sport, and TDS/Panis Racing. Notably, United Autosports returns with a two-car entry, including one for IMSA star Renger van der Zande.

Among the entries, IDEC Sport’s second car serves as a foundation for the Genesis Magma Racing squad ahead of its planned Hypercar entry in 2026. That effort includes two-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick, who makes her Le Mans debut. Meanwhile, Acura GTP factory drivers Nick Yelloly, Tom Blomqvist, Renger van der Zande, and Colin Braun all feature in the LMP2 ranks.

LMGT3 remains strong with 24 entries

The LMGT3 grid remains at 24 entries for its second year at Le Mans, featuring a mix of full-season FIA WEC participants and invited entries. The No. 13 AWA Racing Corvette secured its place via the IMSA Bob Akin Award, while Iron Lynx enters a third Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with Stephen and Brenton Grove.

Manthey Racing has added a third Porsche 911 GT3R, featuring Antares Au, Klaus Bachler, and Loek Hartog, following its success in the Asian Le Mans Series. Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing, newly rebranded for 2025, brings a Ferrari 296 GT3, while Kessel Racing returns after a one-year absence with Takeshi Kimura and Daniel Serra. Richard Mille AF Corse also expands its Ferrari involvement, confirming an entry for Christiano Toledo, Lilou Wadoux, and Riccardo Agostini.

Proton leads the six-car reserve list

The reserve list is led by a second Porsche 963 Hypercar from Proton Competition, with Tristan Vautier as the named driver. The German squad was also first reserve in 2024 but ultimately did not race. GR Racing’s Ferrari 296 GT3 sits second on the list, followed by LMP2 entries from DKR Engineering and Duqueine Team.

JMW Motorsport’s Ferrari entry finds itself in a rare absence from the confirmed grid, marking only its second time missing out in 15 years. Vector Sport rounds out the reserve list, with Ryan Cullen, Vlad Lomko, and Pietro Fittipaldi named in its Oreca 07.

The 2025 Le Mans entry list once again highlights the strength and diversity of endurance racing, with manufacturers and privateers alike ready to battle for glory at the world’s greatest endurance race.
