REIGNING CHAMPION JAMIE CHADWICK LINES UP WITH PAUL HOLLYWOOD TO RACE IN BRITISH GT WITH BEECHDEAN A
Following last week’s announcement by Beechdean AMR, confirming that Paul Hollywood will be part of the team, further exciting news has emerged regarding his co-driver.
Beechdean protégé Jamie Chadwick, the first female and youngest ever champion in British GT history, will team up with Hollywood. This will create a unique driving partnership not to be underestimated. Their opening race will be at the spectacular Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, taking place on the 8-9th July. Hollywood and Chadwick will be racing in Beechdean’s second V8 Vantage GT4 car, which has a 445+ brake horse power. The Beechdean duo plan to compete in the further two British GT races Hollywood originally planned to participate in. These will be Snetterton in Norfolk on the 6-7th August and Donington Park on the 10-11th September. Further to these British GT races, Hollywood has plans to participate in other championship races towards the end of the year.
Beechdean AMR have high hopes for Paul Hollywood and are keen to see him develop as a driver and expect him become a key member of the already successful, multiple title winning team. Andrew Howard, reigning British GT3 champion and Beechdean AMR team owner said, “I am pleased Jamie is re-joining Beechdean in 2016, once she has fulfilled her educational commitments”. Paul Hollywood mirrored this sentiment, commenting that “I am pleased both mine and Jamie’s schedules are compatible, and am looking forward to competing in three British GT races”
Jamie Chadwick is equally excited about the to-be-partnership with Hollywood, saying, “Following our success last year, Andrew mentioned this possibility to me, and I am delighted it has worked out. I’m really looking forward to being back with the Beechdean AMR guys and racing in the highly competitive GT4 series. And, racing with Paul is a great opportunity, especially as we will be kick off at the iconic Spa Francorchamps Grand Prix circuit. Obviously, starting mid-season, we can’t win the Title, but we will work hard to achieve some top class results”
