The 6 Hours of Nurburgring - it's nearly here!!
11 long weeks have passd since the last race of the FIA WEC championship at Le Mans and what a break it has been, I must take this opportunity to mention the sad passing of Jules and Justin - they will be missed.
32 cars are due to take the start in Germany for this one off special race weekend celebrating the 15th anniversary of the 1000kms endurance race. This format used to be used prior to the series being run by the FIA when a timed endurance race was introduced for various reasons. This is the first time the series has come to Germany since its start in 2012
The main prototypes return, with the notable absence of Nissan who continue to work on the hybrid system issues and the outright speed of their cars.
This is the current entry list from the FIA (subject to change) with this being the "home race" for both Audi and Porsche there will certainly be a fight for the win on home truf, the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Nurburgring will be run form the 28th to the 30th August 2015.
