The Audi Boys…where are they now!
With many series starting their 2017 seasons this month, we got to wondering where the boys from Audi had ended up! Do not despair, the six talented chaps have managed to find themselves employment for 2017…here’s where they’re off too!
#7 Boys
André Lotterer will remain in the FIA WEC series for 2017. André will team up with Neel Jani and our very own Nick Tandy in car no. 1 for the Porsche LMP Team. Both Benoit Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler remain with Audi and will compete in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance and Sprint Cup for the Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, as well as stints overseas in the IMSA series with Corvette Racing for Marcel.
#8 Boys
Lucas di Grassi continues to race for ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport in Formula E where, after the first three rounds, he is currently lying second in the Championship. Loïc Duval is staying with Audi having moved over to their DTM programme. And last, but by no means least, Oliver Jarvis has also jumped to the Blancpain GT Series and becomes a ‘Bentley Boy’ after securing a Continental GT3 drive.
I wonder how many of the above will find themselves in La Sarthe come June…
The team at Prescott Motorsport wish them well with their new adventures in 2017.
